Cooking Tricks and Tips

Slow Cooker (Crockpot) Cooking Instructions

1. Cook on low for 2-3 hours (thawed) or 3-4 hours (frozen).

2. Remove cooked ground beef and break apart using a spatula or meat chopper utensil. You’ll know it is cooked thoroughly when it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees and breaks a part easily. Return ground beef back to pot and stir.

Slow Cooker (Crockpot) Sizes

The size of your crockpot can affect the outcome of your meal. If your crockpot is smaller than what we recommend, you may need to cook your meal a little longer. If it’s larger than what we recommend you may need to shorten the cooking time. You will need to keep a close eye on the beef as it cooks. Here are the crockpot sizes we recommend for each meal size to help cook your meals just right:

Smaller Portion (SP) - 3-Quart
Regular Portion (RP) - 4-Quart
Bigger Portion (BP) - 6-Quart

Pressure Cooker (InstantPot) Cooking Instructions

Though Beehive Meals are primarily designed to be cooked within a slow cooker (Crockpot), many of our meals can be cooked in a Pressure Cooker (InstantPot). Please reference our Pressure Cooker Instructions in the helpful links below.
