What started out of need became a mission
Our story is one of unexpected beginnings, rapid growth, hard work, and a lot of people who believed in the idea along the way. Take a look back at the moments that shaped Beehive Meals—and the journey that brought us here.
Where It All Began
What started as a way to support our family became the beginning of something we never expected.
In 2019, Allyse wasn’t trying to build a company. She was simply looking for a temporary solution during a challenging season—something that could provide a little more stability and support for our family. That search led to an idea: prepare meals ahead of time, freeze them, and make dinner easier when life got busy.
As Allyse began sharing the meals with friends and neighbors, people quickly saw the value in the idea and wanted the same solution for their families. What began as a temporary answer to a personal need became the foundation for Beehive Meals.
Essential to our Community
Then everything changed.
Just as Beehive Meals was finding its footing, the COVID-19 pandemic changed life for families everywhere. As an essential service, we were able to keep going—and demand grew faster than we could have imagined. Our team worked tirelessly to keep up while helping families navigate an incredibly uncertain time.
Those years fundamentally changed the trajectory of Beehive Meals. We grew rapidly, but more importantly, we saw firsthand that what we were providing was about more than convenience. We were giving families one less thing to worry about when they needed it most.
Regional Growth
We had proven the idea. Now it was time to build something that could last.
After the rapid growth of 2020 and 2021, we entered a new chapter focused on building the people, systems, and infrastructure needed to keep growing. We expanded throughout the Mountain West, grew our team, increased production, and continued finding better ways to serve our customers.
By 2022, Beehive Meals had become one of Utah’s fastest-growing companies. It was a milestone that represented more than growth—it showed us that the idea Allyse started with years earlier had the potential to reach far beyond our own community.
Building for What’s Next
The idea that started in Utah is now reaching families across America.
In 2026, Beehive Meals entered a new chapter. We opened our new Ogden facility, expanded our production capabilities, began shipping to all 50 states, and continued introducing new ways to make meal prep easier—including Flat Top Meals.
But going national is about more than reaching more customers. It’s about taking the simple idea that started with Allyse in 2019—the belief that dinner can be easier—and bringing that solution to families across the country. What began as a temporary solution has become something much bigger.
